Guide – the adventurer's tools: battle list, analyzer, bestiary, friends, trading, maps, settings and riding

Everything about the tools that make hunting in Tormya easier – what each window shows and how to use it. Every window can be opened with its key or from the icon bar above the hotbar, moved by its title bar and collapsed with the "–" button. Battle list (C) All creatures around you in one list, closest first. Each row shows a small portrait of the creature in a coloured ring – red for monsters, blue for players, green for members of your party, gold for NPCs – together with its health bar. Left-click a monster to attack it. Left-click a player to select or attack them, depending on the Safe/PvP switch next to your health bar. Right-click a player to open the player menu (private message, party, guild, add to friends). The buttons Monsters, Players and NPCs at the top show or hide each group. The red stripe on the left marks your current target, the gold one the player you have selected for healing. Hunt analyzer (X) Counts your hunt from the moment you log in or press "Reset": Hunt time, experience and experience per hour. Loot – the value of everything that dropped for you – and loot per hour. Supplies – the value of the potions and runes you used. Balance – loot minus supplies, green when you earn and red when you lose, also per hour. Damage dealt, damage per hour and healing received. The tabs at the bottom switch between the list of defeated monsters and the list of items you looted (most valuable first). Death recap If you die, a window shows who or what hurt you in your last seconds: every attacker with its damage, the number of hits, the element and its share of the total damage. Use it to learn which monster or spell is the real danger. Buff timers Haste, mana shield and curse show their remaining time on the icons under your portrait – a number in the corner and a sweep that darkens the icon as time runs out. Hover over an icon to read its description. Bestiary (I) Every monster of Tormya with a kill counter and a portrait. 1 kill reveals its health and experience. A quarter of the goal reveals its loot with drop chances: often, uncommonly, rarely, very rarely. The full goal completes the entry and gives you +5% damage against that monster for good. Goals: 100 kills for weak monsters, 250 or 500 for stronger ones, 1000 for the strongest and 5 for bosses. Use the search field to find a monster quickly. Boosted creature Every day one ordinary monster of Tormya is the boosted creature: it gives double experience and drops its loot 50% more often. Its portrait sits in the top-right corner of the minimap with a "2×" badge – hover over it to see its name, click it to open its bestiary entry, where it is marked with a gold star. The boosted creature changes every morning (6:00 UTC); every monster gets its turn before any of them comes back, and never the same one two days in a row. Type /boosted in the chat to see today's creature. Friends (Z) Type a character name and press "Add", or right-click a player and choose "Add to friends". Friends who are online have a green dot. You get a message when a friend logs in or out. Right-click a friend to send a private message or invite them to your party; "×" removes them from the list. Trading with other players Stand close to another player (up to 3 steps away), right-click them and choose "Trade". They get an invitation and accept it the same way – or with the "Accept" button in the trade window. Drag items from your backpack to your side of the window, or right-click an item in the backpack and choose "Add to trade". Whole stacks are traded, up to 8 items on each side. Click an item on your side to take it back. Hover over the other player's items to see their full description – rarity and bonuses included. The items change hands only when both of you press "Accept". Any change to either offer cancels both acceptances, so nobody can swap an item at the last moment. The trade fails safely if someone has no room or capacity left, and it closes when you walk more than 6 steps apart, log out or die. Walking by map Left-click any spot on the minimap or on the world map (M) and your character walks there by itself – even to the other side of the world. The route is found automatically and corrected on the way as new land loads. A white cross marks your destination on both maps. WASD or Esc stops the walk. Map markers Right-click the world map or the minimap and choose "Add marker here", type a name and pick a colour – your favourite hunting ground, a boss lair or a hidden chest. The marker shows on both maps. Right-click a marker to remove it. The "Marker here" button on the world map marks the place where you stand. Markers are saved for each of your characters. Settings (F2) Graphics: quality presets (Low, Medium, High, Ultra), shadows, render resolution, anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, view distance, grass, frame rate limit, vertical sync, an FPS counter and the low health warning (pulsing red screen edges below 25% health). On a slower computer start with a lower preset or a lower render resolution. Keys: click the key next to an action and press a new one – every window, movement, camera, target, loot and all nine hotbar slots can be changed. Esc cancels, Backspace removes the key, and "Restore default keys" brings everything back. Sound and interface: music and effects volume, interface size and "Reset window layout". Riding Press R to ride the mount you chose in the stable (U). Your character sits in the saddle with the reins in hand, and weapons and shields are put away while riding – they return to your hands when you dismount. You cannot mount during combat. Automatic updates When you start the game it checks for updates. If there is something new you see the download progress; the game closes for a moment, a small Tormya window installs the update and the game starts again. Only the changed parts of the files are downloaded, so most updates take a few seconds.
